How is it possible to meet someone who died almost one century ago? Short films made for Festival 20-21 in Leuven (BE), about the composer Béla Bartók, as introduction to the performance of his complete string quartets. Each film was shown just before the performance of one of his six string quartets. 

Quotations by family members, friends, colleagues & critics, combined with Bartók’s voice, images from various historical sources and vintage Hungarian stamps showing colourful precise folk motives, used in embroidery, furniture and other objects from Bartók's daily life.
