Short films (in Dutch) made for Festival 20-21 in Leuven (BE), for three concerts about the friendship of Shostakovich and Britten. A short but insightful picture of the context of the genesis of the pieces, part of the total experience of the concerts. The films were shown before each of the works in question was performed. Testimonies by Galina Vishnevskaya and Fyodor Druzhinin, combined with historical and personal footage.

Look at the last journey of Britten in Venice with him dancing in a wheelchair (3d string quartet), or look further at the death of Shostakovich, the only picture of him without a glass (14th symphony).
