Échappées belles, created together with Julie Calbert, brings water back to the streets of Brussels, but above our heads. An exhibition of blue artworks reproduced on fabric, dancing with the wind, suspended between trees or facades, transfigured by a selection of artists as powerful as the waves. A core of contemporary photography, but with escapes to other centuries and other disciplines: painting, engraving, drawing, comics, digital arts or secret techniques related to water and light. Explosive, narrative, calm, militant, gushing, mysterious, poetic, documentary, dreamy, water reveals itself under a thousand facets.

Échappées belles is transforming itself, testing metamorphosis to exist in many ways. The project was first floating above some streets and squares of Saint-Gilles in 2021, moved afterwards indoor and outdoor to the pianofabriek and it is currently hanging in primary school courtyards.
